In the production of our products, the methods we use always follow environmental legislation and the latest technological standards. We believe that environmental awareness is just as important to a sustainable, future-orientated corporate strategy as economic foresight.
MÜPRO therefore pays close attention to ensuring optimum use of natural resources from the initial development phase of our products and in product design. We place great importance on the continuous enhancement of our production techniques with regard to environmental protection. The same standards that we apply to ourselves in terms of environmental protection are, of course, also applied to the selection process for our partners and suppliers.
Environmentally friendly production
In our galvanising processes, we avoid the use of hexavalent chromium as much as possible in order to protect the environment. So we can still achieve high corrosion resistance on surfaces, we use greater layer thicknesses of up to 12 μm, or up to 40 μm in the case of Sendzimir-galvanised products.
In the case of welding and joining processes, we minimise the use of environmentally harmful welding filler materials through resistance welding. Due to the continuous improvements in our production processes, waste and residual materials are significantly reduced during production. In the case of all products that require propellants, we avoid the use of CFCs.
In many projects, we supply fully pre-assembled modules to the customer’s construction site, which significantly reduces the amount of residual materials and waste. This can often even be avoided altogether, to the benefit of the environment.
Efficient use of resources in our products
During the product selection stage, we advise our customers with a view to ensuring optimised quantities of the required goods. In addition to material savings, this can also often reduce assembly times and costs.
With our products for special applications such as solar parks or water treatment plants, we help to integrate environmentally friendly technologies quickly and safely.
Packaging and recycling
By using modern packaging machines and intelligent packaging design, we can save large volumes of packaging material. Only small quantities of film packaging and stowage material are used and are properly separated by type.
To enable convenient, free recycling of packaging materials for our customers, we collaborate with top-performing partners. We acquired Interseroh as our recycling partner for the disposal of all kinds of packaging, including paper, cardboard, paperboard, steel or plastic straps, and PE bubble wrap. In accordance with packaging regulations, all packaging is disposed of free of charge in designated collection containers or through Interseroh contractual partners, before it is subsequently recycled. This helps to conserve natural resources and support the environment. Our recycling processes are certified each year by Interseroh.
